8/13/09 Allison Visits Again

Allison wanted to swing by and say hello to the Leo puppy crew before so many headed out to their new families this weekend. The puppies have good taste in friends. In the end, Allison's toes seem to have survived just fine (we were more worried about their little baby teeth). Standing up on their tip toes to get a better view of Allison, it becomes pretty apparent that these guys are growing fast! We're gonna miss these guys.

The Leonberger puppies are growing like crazy. Here, we introduce them to a little raw food in the form of turkey necks. They are usually pretty relaxed about their food which we "juice up" with hard boiled eggs, chicken, pumpkin, and yogurt (with a little real mayo) these days. The turkey 'takes the cake' though - wow! Unlike our stomachs, these Leonberger puppies have super digestive engines that are built to handle raw foods. They are even capable of digesting raw bones! We are always amazed; most of the people we know have trouble digesting a corn kernel. Way to go, crew!
