Copeland and Cha-Cha take BIS and BOO Puppy
Copeland and Cha-Cha took Best Puppy and Best of Opposite Puppy respectively at the MALC Regional Leonberger Specialty. Over 50 Leonbergers attended our biggest show ever and the competition in the puppy class is the most intense it has ever been. Darius von Alpensee had many outstanding grandkids and great grandkids; we feel very fortunate to have had both our puppies recognized amongst the high quality puppies competing in the show and hope that this marks the beginning of wonderful show careers for both of them. Have you ever seen a more beautiful pair of pups? Westminster anyone?

Sforzando Represents the Leonberger and NCRDO
Kennel di Sforzando went to the AKC's Responsible Dog Ownership Day in Raleigh and introduced the breed to lots of folks who have never heard of the Leonberger as well as to some judges who wanted to learn more. The event was great fun with tons of activities for dogs of every ability. The event was an especially rewarding experience for Copeland, who must have gotten petted by three hundred people. The event gave an educational credit to the LCA and was a blast. We hope to do it again next year!

Sforzando's C Litter Has Arrived

Northeast Regional Best in Show Goes To Ika
Kennel di Sforzando has taken Best in Shows at the Southeast/MidAtlantic, and Northeast Shows. With two huge wins under her belt and her daughter taking a Best in Match, we couldn't be happier about Ika's performance this season. She has definitely found a way to walk in her parents' footsteps. Way to go, Ika!

MALC Regional Best in Show goes to Ika

Ika Completes her LCA Championship with Group
Ika
completed her LCA Championship today after taking Best of Opposite at
two LCA Regional Events and winning Best in Miscellaneous group at
several AKC All Breed Shows. She has always been a champion
to
us, but having her championship made official sure is nice!

Brubeck takes Best of Winners at SELC Regional
Brubeck's Take 5 di Sforzando, our "Bru" took her first big win at the Southeast Leonberger Club's Spring Specialty in Glen Allen, VA. At just six months of age, that isn't a bad accomplishment at all. Congratulations, Bru!
